SCBA consist of following parts:- There are four major components or assemblies of a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus which is a complicated system for life support, all of which are essential to comply with ISO 23269-2:2011.

  1. Cylinder and Valve Assembly. This is the main part of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus. The Cylinders is a high-pressure vessel which is usually made of Steel, Aluminum or Carbon Fiber Composite, containing compressed air at a high pressure of 200 to 300 bars.
